An alternative to traditional implant teeth, zygomatic implants are much longer screws that we place in the upper jawbone close to the zygoma bone which is more dense and able to support replacement teeth. Once we’ve fully evaluated your case and we’re ready to move forward, we anchor extra-long implants in the zygoma (the cheekbone) which is a thick and solid bone near the sinus. During this process, in addition to 1-2 zygoma implants, 2-4 regular implants are typically placed towards the front of the jaw, where the upper front teeth used to be.

You may experience some degree of bruising, but most of our patients are surprised by how easy their recovery is.
